It depends on what your definition of a high level prospect is I guess. But in the realm of the trade deadline he won’t be that expensive, even with the Mets likely buying down his salary. Not saying I want Alonso but he’s easily attainable for the Astros if they want to get him
I bet something like Wagner, Blubaugh and Zach Cole or Desenzo might do it depending on how much money the Mets are kicking in

Our farm is dangerously thin, just don’t think it’s worth it especially with singleton having better ABs

That’s fair. I think they should absolutely trade for an alternative to Singleton just to have another option, but I think I’d rather they go for someone cheaper as well

Would cost us multiple high level prospects plus Chas….not worth it
Too many needs. Too many outfielders .You gotta pay to play. They should be dangling Bregman and Framber out there as well.

As far as teams that will be sellers…
White Sox, Jays prob the only 2 locks that have interesting pieces
A’s, Angels, Marlins, Rockies (and Nats?) all sellers but don’t really have a ton of interesting candidates we’d be interested in, right?
Of course there will be more teams that become sellers as the deadline nears. NL will be really interesting cause so many teams are within 3 games of wild card. Bellinger just landed on IL for a few weeks so wouldn’t be surprising for Cubs to be sellers

Altuve 4
Bregman 5
Diaz DH
Singleton 3
Peña 6
Loperfido 7
Meyers 8
Cabbage 9
Salazar 2
Bloss RHP
That’s a pretty smelly lineup.

At least he found a slider that wasn’t 88 middle-middle

Need to win a game vs Marlins on a bullpen day again

Feels silly saying this about our 4 hole hitter but I’ll take that from Singleton all day

Won’t surprise me one bit if he’s out until after the break. Sucks too because we need this Rangers series to go well. They are getting healthy and starting to win again.
He’s dead

G damn kid. Quit spiking balls in the dirt

Gonna be lucky if Bloss gets through 4 innings. Think his pitch count is 75-80
