I don't get the Pena injury. It wasn't supposed to be serious but here we are like 3 weeks later.

He's either almost back or mostly dead. No one knows.

Timely un-hitting, and timely un- relief pitching.

It’s not really even regression to the mean. We lost three of our best hitters in less than a month. Not sustainable.

Lost two all-stars with .800+ OPS and + defense and a CF hitting over .300 that plays elite defense in a two week period. I’m not sure how many orgs can withstand that. Credit the AAAA guys for the good stretch that the team had to keep the team 15 games over, even with this 5-10 stretch, but it’s beyond time to add positive WAR players back to the every day lineup somehow.

Our lineup even at its best was built to score by stringing a bunch of hits together. We dont do quick strike. So the problem now is the few guys that get on are passing the buck to guys like Chas, Matthews, Short, Hummel, Dubon and God forbid...Yainer. we need home runs. This bunch isnt going to string hits together. But weve got no power either.

I was driving and listened to part of the game on the radio. I think it was Dubon had gotten on to lead off the inning. Its like every time somebody gets on, you groan at the name you hear coming to the plate

"So Dubon is on to start the inning. Here's Matthews"

Arggghuggh

"Matthews strikes out. That'll bring up Hummel."

Ughhhh

"So Hummel walks on a full count. That'll put 2 on with 1 out for Zach Short"

Ahhhhhh!

"So Short flies out which will leave it up to Cam Smith hoping to break out of his 3-35 slump."

Dead

Name one guy who you feel good coming to the plate with runners on right now?

Zero because they are all on the IL

They being the ones I trust. You have a point about the Tuve, Walker, Yainer, Cam bunch. Those guys aren’t carrying the load and just can’t win if one of those guys doesn’t step up more in place of the injured players

I watched the Nick Kurtz game until the bitter end, I fast forwarded through most of last night’s game. Nothing is working, no hitting, pitching, or fielding.
