It's deja vu. The fact that tony sipp still has a place on this roster tells me all I need to know about our general manager.

Sorry for not piquing your intellect.

The bullpen has been bad for 2 months, so has the starting pitching.

The bullpen won't be as bad, neither will the starting pitching.

None of these guys forgot how to pitch. (Except Tony Sipp, he forgot after 2015). It can and will be better.

Taking a snap shot on July 31 and determining how well a team can/will do in the post season is retarded at best.

As many teams that have had good bullpens have done in the postseason, with there being 1 champion per year, there have been way more teams with good bullpens that didn't win a fricking thing.

Analytical and Statsical that

Whats funny is that I bet Luhnow blows his load at the next trade deadline and we get another Gomez like deal.

Yeah Gregerson hasn't been good for 80% of this year and I'm just guessing 80% even though every time I've seen him pitch he has been ineffective.

Both of those guys have at least been good for weeks/months at a time the last 2 years

Sipp has been abysmal from basically start to finish for going on 2 years now.

You've got a glorified pitching machine.

"Where ya want it?"

"Right about here, Joe. Thanks pal!"

11 to 3 would have felt great. Instead we are reminded of the major problems.

Gregerson is having the worst season of his career.

Thank the lord for the offense tonight and for a quality start from Morton.

The bullpen however is broken.

I don't think many of you would have been satisfied Unless we completely revamped the entire bullpen today.

If the bullpen is THAT bad, adding 2 guys isn't going to fix a fricking thing. There would still be 5 other guys back there that are "terrible"

Or you could minimize the amount the bullpen has to pitch by getting good starting pitching.

his numbers in the pen arent terrible. Hopefully he at least can eat up some of these innings in 11-2 games without having to bring in Devo/Giles

People who wanted at least two bullpen arms have a point. Why? Well, when you have such a depth problem in your pen that 8 to 10 run leads don't feel safe, you want your front office to address it.

The Nationals did.

I suggest you look at what the Nationals were able to do.

Added Madson Doolittle and Kintzler for almost nothing. They essentially did remake their bullpen.

We just need these guys doing shite in the pen to be average. If gregs and hoyt can just notch it up to where they don't get demolished every pitch then we could be on to something. Devo Giles and Harris can't pitch every damn game
