Luhnow is major huge fricking stupid moron. There I said it. We look like absolute fricking idiots. The fricking Dodgers, Yankees, and Cubs embarrassed us. And thats why they are the premiere organizations in baseball and we are not. End of story. frick Luhnow. frick him.

Real talk: we went from clear 1 to 1a IMO.

That's obvious from all the games we've lost since the trade deadline. Don't see how anyone could argue otherwise.

Don't know what the dodgers gave up for Darvish yet, but compared to all the other deadline deals, nobody gave up anything close to a Whitley, Tucker and Martes package. I have no idea what the talks with gray were, but it seems like we could have gotten him for Fisher, Hernandez and Cameron type package. You can seriously argue that that's even more than what the yanks gave up

It has been a blast. There is just absolutely no reason to hord prospects like we did while having the season we are having. Many of the arms discussed had multiple years of control and have actually proved themselves in the majors in the past and this year. Next year is no guarantee and the only move that we made in the best season in Astros history is Francisco liriano. Pathetic

We got burnt there AND with Quintana. I fully expect Gray to absolutely own it with the Dodgers just as Quintana is kicking arse with the Cubs. Luhnow values prospects over everything. I can't bear to watch our bullpen these next few months nor can I bear to watch our starting pitching continue its fall.

Reminder that the Rangers weren't trading their ace to their rival in the same division

Again, we likely value these guys (Fisher, Teo, Daz) differently than other organization do.

What if other teams would only take Tucker or Whitley in a package?

Not to mention, trading in the division was likely more costly for both Gray and Darvish.

Im glad we didnt get Darvish simply because he'd be not only a rental but he would probably re-sign in 5 months with our division rivals....the Dodgers aren't going to have to face Yu Darvish in their own division if he goes back to TEX.

Why do you suppose Texas would send Darvish to LA for scrubs and not to Houston?

There's no way Luhnow would say no to that sort of package.

Because it's fricking logic

You very rarely see ace pitchers traded within the same division. It just doesnt happen.
