If there are no hitters out there that see pitches and work counts, I’m ready to stand pat with the AAAA squad as it stands now and “hope and pray” that Yordan, Jake, Peña, and Esock come back. Of which, I think Peña is the only one likely to return this season. If the others do, they’ll be so rusty, they may not be much of an improvement. Hell, Yordan was terrible prior to going on the injured list.

Jacob Wilson just hit the IL with a fractured forearm that apparently happened before the all-star game... despite playing 7 games since the break. Maybe the Astros training staff has some competition.

I think we should not be shocked if Dana is looking to trade Yainer.

I honestly think he is at the lowest value of his career right now

What would we realistically expect to get in return that would fill even the void of backup C, much less improve the team elsewhere?

The concept of "lowest value" is true only until one suitor sees it differently. His past production and potential could make him a trade chip.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if a Cease deal grew to involve Diaz and bring back Mald0nad0?

I feel like there is a bucket about 18 rows up down the RF line that Cam could put 10 balls in a row in on the fly

And as Im typing, he does the impossible

The Unicorn

2 on no outs. No movement of runners. Maybe bunt those bums that can’t put the bat on the ball. Looking at you Shay and Short

After watching those ABs from 8 and 9 hole and knowing Alexander is on the brink of getting blown up, who truly is interested in trading for anything. LOL

I mean 1st and 2nd no outs and you’re starving for runs and you can’t even bunt 8 hole b/c 9 hole won’t put it in play. As a matter of fact they both K and very often.

I'd pay good dollarbucks to see JP chase a 2 strike sweeper like the good ole days.

What’s the front office supposed to do? Anticipate having 4/5 of their best hitters on IL? Looking more like we should stand pat and or sell unless Yed/Jake and Pena are back before September.
