Teams are calling regarding a potential trade for Angels two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani, and while a trade involving the unique superstar is seen as very unlikely, the Angels are for perhaps the first time not hanging up the phone.

The Angels are telling teams they need to listen on everyone following the surprise collapse of their team off a very strong start that had them in first place in May.
quote:

While the Angels’ most likely sell pieces are starter Noah Syndergaard, closer Raisel Iglesias and relievers Ryan Tepera and Aaron Loup, they are engaging when rival executives mention Ohtani. This won’t be easy, as it would involve a massive haul back (plus ownership approval) in the five days left before the Aug. 2 trade deadline.

No surprise, word is it would take something absolutely eye-popping for the Angels to even seriously consider dealing Ohtani.

Don’t feel bad, I had us with a sure fire Sunday win a few weeks ago, but it was Saturday.

No sauces just gut instinct here... Astros will wait till they get swept or lose 2/3 this weekend then get desperate to make a move only after all of the difference makers are gone. Then overpay for some shite scrapss then tell us how they improved the team.

Dusty Baker playing two first basemen is an odd decision.

A lot of people seem to dislike Chandler, but if you pay close enough attention, he frequently makes subtle "Dusty is a dumbass" posts. So he is good in my book.

How anyone could fork over 400 to 500 bucks to take their family to MMP and watch this shite is beyond me.

We’ve got over $2000 invested for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday games for tickets and AirBnB. Was hoping to see Verlander but he is scheduled for Friday.

I hope we don’t get Dusty’s AAAAstros lineup and Stinky’s blister.

$2Gs for a Bregman bobble head and an ALCS replica ring.

@KPRC2Ari

The #Astros may not be as aggressive on lefty relievers at the deadline as maybe some fans expect. A league source tells me the Astros feel good about their internal options in the bullpen vs. LHB like Stanek, Neris and Phil Maton, all of whom have reverse splits.

@KPRC2Ari

The #Astros and #Dodgers have called on All-Star #Marlins 1B Garrett Cooper, but the Marlins have so far been reluctant to deal him, per league source. Cooper his hitting .279 with 7 HR and 40 RBI this season and is coming off his 1st All-Star appearance.
