Pedro Leon (Astros' No. 2 prospect) will be out of action for approximately six weeks after fracturing his left pinky finger while sliding into a base on Monday night at Oklahoma City.

Rookie of the Year, 2022, guaranteed. He's going to follow the same path as his predecessor.

Suffer a broken bone. Come back on fire. Win ROY.

Who will he start dating?
Mallory Fuller
Chandler Foreman
Madison Fuller
Morgana Wood
Daniella Rodriguez (long-shot candidate)

Speaking of Ms. Texas... Happy Birthday to the DAT's favorite masseuse. Daniella Correa turns 25 Today.

3 bb per 9, 8.7k per 9. 30 yr old.

Not likely high leverage.

He’s on a cheap, one year deal. He shouldn’t cost much.

Solid middle reliever who won't shite his pants if he has to close. All good. What's the cost?

Expected era over 4. Lot of hard contact. This isnt some great improvement.

Yes. I think this move helps more in the reg season than the playoffs.

Throwing from a three-quarters slot, Marlins reliever Yimi García uses his elite spin rate, above-average velocity on his fastball (it’s sat 96 mph this year, per Baseball Savant) and curveball to keep hitters off balance and keep the ball in the yard despite a lower-than-average 39 percent ground ball rate.

the 30-year-old’s (he’ll turn 31 next month) career 2.05 walks per nine displays, he’s got those under control. This is García’s first season as a closer, having previously served in set-up roles for both Miami and the Dodgers, and he’s shown he’s up to the high leverage task with a 3.47 ERA on the season while converting 15 of 18 save chances.

I’d be pretty surprised if he pitched in any meaningful situations in the postseason but it still improves the pen for the remainder of the season

Also Click is clearly trying to upgrade the bullpen while staying under the luxury tax which admittedly isn’t an easy feat and he’s done well thus far

Fine with me. De La Cruz is another unlikely to contribute at the major league level
