Forrest Whitley tossed 1.1 scoreless innings with a strikeout last night for Sugar Land. Up to 98 MPH with the sinker. Over his last 8 outings, Whitley has posted the following line: 0.00 ERA | 9.0 IP | 5 H | 10 K

The Valbuena walkoff 3 run bomb against Oakland is forever seared in my brain. Rest in peace king

I’d love to throw Whitley in the fire in a fairly low leverage Maton/Martinez role and see what’s up. If not now, when?

Yup. Might as well give it a shot. Even if he has a random two or three week aberration of strike throwing it’s worth the risk compared to the limited upside of a Martinez

Saw we signed the C from Sam Houston

Or perhaps some teams will actually value Whitley as a piece in a trade

Justin Verlander threw more than 50 pitches in the bullpen today and will get on the main field next week and throw with hitters on the mound. Luis Garcia will also face hitters next week on the main field.

JV is going to be hell to hit with the hitters on the mound, too. Should be a good confidence builder.

That’s all you got? You literally lost every home World Series games to the nationals. Would that consider them pussies?

Umm, that doesn’t even make sense.
The Astros are down most of their starting pitching, and are playing with a AAAA outfield and 1B when Alvarez doesn’t start in the outfield, and you want to say they beat the Dodgers JV. Just about every team is dealing with injuries. Suck it up.

Make up ur feeble mind
Were they cheating or losing all their home games?
Best road record in back to back seasons in MLB history, but won b/c they were cheating
