Bregman still brings the power, but when does he move down a bit in this lineup

Yes, agreed

3 hole has not been good to him

I actually think 2 would be better, not necessarily down

With Altuve looking more like his old self

I don’t blame that strikeout on bregman. 2 of those strikes called weren’t strikes. But he needs to wake the hell up. This .260 avg crap is beneath him. Bagwell said last night that he knows what he’s doing wrong but he has yet to fix it. To me, bregman can’t get the homer bug out of his swing and it’s as simple as that. And if that’s the case, then it’s time for him to move down in the lineup. Brantley’s multihit per game barrage needs to be inserted into the top 3 of the lineup.

Really? I like Springer and Altuve at 1/2, then I'd move Brantley and Yordan up and maybe hit Yuli in the 5 hole then Bregman behind Yuli

I dunno. There are a ton of options with this lineup to make sure the guys producing are hitting one after the other

Bregman at his best is patient so he is a much better fit in the No. 2 hole while Altuve is a classic No. 3 guy except in a 5-foot-5 frame. The McManager should see this by now but at least he already knows Correa should bat behind Yed. Small victories.

With the lineup to be as stacked as it will be once Correa comes back, I'm not too against hitting Bregman 9th. Even think it'd help cheerios out some with bregs behind him.

Well he swung at one and the last one was high

We know there's zero percent chance that happens.

He also took another slider off the plate for a strike before the slider off the plate he swung at before that fastball above the zone he was called out on. Like I said, that strikeout was more on the umpire than it was on him. But in general, bregman has not been nearly as good this year at anticipating what’s coming. And I noticed he has this new ritual he’s doing this year between pitches with his left arm where he flexes it to remind him of something mechanical during his approach. Probably to keep his shoulder from flying open or something. It’s not helping him to be a better base hitter whatever it is.

There’s two things we know for sure with AJs lineups. Springer is leading off. And Altuve is in the top 3. Almost as sure, bregman will be top 3. I’ll be shocked if that changes even when everyone is back.

3 pitch is what he swung at and 5th was a called strike

You’re right. I rewound it. It was strike 2 to Altuve that was off the plate called a strike. He still struck out on a pitch above the zone.

He’s stated that he wants an OPS over 1000, only way to do that is walk a bunch and hit for power, that’s what he’s been doing. Doubt he’ll change.

.260 and getting on base like he does isn’t much of an issue IMO. Especially with the guys hitting around him.

His approach works great in a vacuum, but sucks when he needs to put a liner in play somewhere

Now that was smoked.

Hit the middle of the H on the batter's eye.

I don't mind missed calls as usually the umpire is fair both ways. I feel bad for Judge on his calls below the knees though

Is it fair to say this is the "biggest" game of the season?

If Tuve is finally healthy and returning to 2017 form, look out.

I don’t mind it either if it’s the same call both ways. But when no name Chris bassitt gets that call off the edge on Altuve in a road game but hall of famer Justin Verlander can’t get the same location called a strike at home against semien then there’s a problem.
