What we need for Yed right now is

Caratini’s salami saved the night, but is there any explanation for the Astros medical staff and their continued oopsies? On to the new fight and our Cy Young candidate. What he’s done thus far this year makes him a

Dear Casey,

It's Dale in SA again

Once again, the Houston Astros medical staff has pulled the wool over our eyes. They told us “minor discomfort.” They said, “he’s just being evaluated.” They said, “he’s day-to-day”—but aren’t we all?

Well, we won’t get fooled again. Not this time!

Please play The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again” for all Astros fans who have dared to believe the medical staff

I'll hang up and listen now - thanks

how has the best player on your team with recurring hand issues and the $100m+ contract not seen a hand specialist before now?

Last year’s broken leg turns to this year’s broken hand.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Mount Rushmore of Astros injury bullshite.

My nominees:

2024 Tucker
2025 Yordan
2023 Brantley
Lifetime achievement LMJ

Honorable mention: 2017 Keuchel - scratched from a start due to “illness.” Missed two months with what turned out to be a neck injury.

Ah yes, Kansas City. I remember it well. The blind rage, that is.

I can’t believe I forgot that, as well as the “massage” injury. I may bump Lance for these.

Most of these, if not all, are probably the result of team doctors working around insurance policies the team has in place.

Essentially, comes down to money, as always.

On the few occasions it is not, you will likely hear about 2nd opinions

Was never really the same after that.

My working theory is that pinched nerve made him lose a little of the extremely finite dexterity for the movement required to pitch at a high level at his velocity or lack thereof.

He was 9-0 with a 1.67 ERA and an 0.872 whip in the first half of that season well on his way to a second cy young in 3 years

Lowest full season ERa was 3.74 the following year.

Man... I would hate for him to join the Astros and start playing well. I'd have to stop hating him and his spaghetti sauce Tupperware face.
