Didn't they just signal that Altuve was safe?

Maybe it will finally lead to a team meeting about this team's stupid base running?

Altuve walking home from 3rd didn't help.

Base running was fine, that pop up slide is hard to stop sometimes. It's gonna happen...

Signal for no run. Blame can be laid at the feet of both of them in this situation.

Altuve's base running was lazy. Reddick didn't need to pop up at all. Just slide and stay down. Grab on to the bag as you slide through it, if needed. You aren't even supposed to risk the 3rd out at third to begin with.

Sure Altuve was lazy but how many guys actually bust it home when they will make it easily? He wasn't jogging just not all out. Looked like a solid run to me.

You've watched enough and probably played enough baseball to know what I'm talking about. Sometimes your momentum carries you through the bag and that lead foot sticks on the bag and once the pressure is put on it, your body takes over and lifts it out of that jam. Now there's a small gap between the lead leg and trailing leg.

That's alot of words, but there's no complicated science behind it. That slide happens all the time

You aren't supposed to assume anything. No way Reddick beats Altuve in a 90 foot race if Altuve just hustles home. Sure, he makes it there easy but his head was not into the game (like thinking Reddick may tag up as well, even if it's an ill-advised play).

I'm not going at you specifically but some fans want to continue to defend this team's piss poor base running. They are one of the worst teams in the game statistically and fail the eye test as well.

I want them to win the World Series. So do you. And I don't like the feeling that they are more likely to hurt than help themselves in the postseason with their base running decisions.

Maybe slightly more blame to Josh but both were at fault.

I wish this were a national FOX broadcast with Pete Rose in the studio. He'd rip Jose a new poop shoot for lack of hustle there.

Altuve looked back and saw Reddick coming, then turned it on.

I'm sure Altuve wondered WTF

Similar to Correa head first slide trying to score when he thinks 1st baseman not paying attention.

Only difference is it's 2-0 now, when it was 8-0 then.

Unnecessary risk.

If Aoki sticks around long enough that it helps us to sign Otani, we need to build a statue of him outside the park.

I'm with ya man... The base running is the most frustrating thing about this team, I just looked at this particular instance as some bad luck. But I get it, another straw in the baserunning cap

Are we even allowed to sign Otani? I thought with the new intl rules we can't sign anyone for more than $300k this year and next
