Uh oh. This is not good. Hope this is not from that awkward fall when he got picked off to end the game a few weeks ago. That looked more like a knee than a groin

That's what it is, Ryno. His play the last few weeks say that's what it is. he's been playing like someone with an injury.

You would think the 10 die hard Astros fans on the board would stick together and not argue. Gotta love it.

That's ok. We're all going to get together and get filthy drunk when we make the postseason.

At that point all will be forgotten.

What exactly does that mean? Just watch it straight on the website?

Aren't there still blackouts?

To kind of step back a bit, I think it would take strong argument to say that Bo hasn't contributed to there current success. Has he made boneheaded moves? Yeah. But all managers do. That being said, the impact of a manager really does seem minimal at times.

How did Cosart look last night? Tony Sipp has been a great find in the pen and Qualls continues to be lights out. It's nice to have confidence in holding a one run lead from the sixth inning on

Yeah it's more about managing personalities and putting guys in a place to succeed, especially in the AL

I don't see anything going on that makes me really question Bo. It's not his fault he has Jerome Williams in his pen.

He's young, energetic, unorthodox - just what a rebuilding squad needs.

I think, especially in the AL, a manager's job is more about communication than anything. He's not the hitting or pitching coach, he is the manager of the team. He's always on the top step congratulating players with enthusiasm, appears to have a real passion for the game and this team, etc.

If you think we're better off with a Jimy Williams / Cecil Cooper / Brad Mills, I will kindly, yet strongly disagree.

If we win 70-75 games this year I think that builds him a lot of good will. That's a huge improvement. On the same token next year will probably be the first year with any real pressure on him as far as wins vs losses. I have no complaints with him so far and he deserves credit for the improvement this year

Brent Strom also deserves kudos. We upgraded personnel, especially in the pen, but you can't say enough about what we've gotten out of guys like Keuchel and Collin McHugh. We are at 4.19 ERA right now compared to 4.79 last year

Anybody else notice an almost complete disappearance of Ranger (baseball version) fans on this board?

Agreed. Bo has done a good job considering what he has had to work with. He has a passion for the game and plays it the right way. Bo know the game and he teaches his guys to play with passion.
