If we could split this series that would be awesome.

The monkey is finally off the back, hoping the guys play pretty loose today.

First round has to be a Starter (Preferably LHP) or a Catcher.

I wouldn't be upset with Burdi. During the regional, Chris Burke said that he'd be in a major league pen before the year was over.

Most think we'd take Miami's catcher Collins if he fell that far. Virginia's catcher Thaiss could be a surprise pick.

Some say Luhnow like Pitt RHP Zeuch but there's a lot of smoke with Louisville RHP Burdi, a closer currently who throws 98-102.

Only lefty projected in our range that might be justified as a pick is Kent State ace Lauer. The three top prep LHPs and Florida's Puk won't get to 17.

Like I said in the thread last week, I want Burdi. If he can start then I have no problem taking him with our first pick. If the front office doesn't think he can start then I'd take him with our 2nd pick. However, I believe some team will think he can start and take him early.

Slow day at the office, just ran Altuve's #'s to see what they might look like if he gets 630 AB's again this year:

214 Hits
26 HR
95 RBI
119 Runs
48 SB
55 2B

fricking

26 HR

Pretty optimistic.

The power surge was out of the ordinary for him. 9 home runs in the first month, then he went over a month before he hit his 10th. Altuve isn't gonna hit 26 homers.
