“Anytime somebody throws behind a hitter's head, that's going to create some tension,” Rangers manager Jeff Banister said. “Look, I get the fact that we are playing baseball and it's part of baseball. They had two guys diving and get hit on pads. They give up a home run to Napoli and throw behind his head. I think that deserves, a little bit of anxiety and anger
Oh?
I guess Napoli has his head in his arse.

Well Correa or altuve is probably catching some cleats today
Posted on 5/2/17 at 2:11 pm to Lsuhoohoo
Evan Grant (Rangers writer) took a pic where the ball is already way behind Napoli and there's a steep camera angle to say the pitch was up around his head (FAKE NEWS). The bitchiness from that organization permeates from the manager all the way down to the beat writer.

Even if it was, the ball broke like six inches to the right. It wasn't even close to his head
BTW, I totally expect Hamels to make a veteran statement tonight and beam Bregman should the opportunity arise.

I was hoping he would catch an elbow to the temple last night.

I except a pregame warning, if that's still a thing, so if Cole wants to get himself tossed and suspended, he should go right ahead.

Nobody's getting beaned tonight
Too costly
Too costly

I may have misunderstood as I wasn't listening that closely. But Brownie and Blummer were talking about warnings and I thought they mentioned umpires no longer being able to issue bench warnings before games. That there has to be an issue in game for warnings to be issued. But I may not be right on that.

Word here is that Hamels was not happy in the least w/ Cashner for hitting Altuve and Guerriel and putting himself in a position to not go after Bregman. Lot of the local guys on the radio today have been talking about it.

As much as I hate to say it, we are desperate as frick right now. We need anything that could possibly light a fire under our arse.

It's still a thing, but has only happened a hand full of times over the last decade or so. I'd be shocked if there was tonight.
Pitchers have pretty much made it obsolete because they say it takes away their ability to pitch inside.

That's reasonable. In that case, I'm ready to throw down again tonight

I believe the safe wager is to put your money on Tony Sipp to finally earn a damn paycheck tonight. He will send Stinky back to Arlington with bruised ribs.
I wouldn't be surprised if Gomez takes one in the ribs too.
All this tough shite-talk from goldennugget yesterday... only to see how that the Ranger's dugout is full-to-the-brim with pussies, starting with their pussy manager.
As for Hamels, if he expects to hit Bregman tonight, he better do it on Breg's first AB. Hamel's doesn't make it out of the 4th inning tonight.

He would miss on 4 straight pitches

Not if McCann tells him to throw strikes.

I wonder how Hamels feels about vetoing that deal right now

Bannister sounds like a bitch

Well I mean he's done nothing but beat up on you guys the previous two years, I don't think one game is going to change his mind
He was in a win now attitude. His and Texas' windows are closing.
Here is the pic someone above mentioned. Seems Evan probably dug for awhile to find this exact angle......

He's 33, this isn't the NFL
Posted on 5/2/17 at 2:56 pm to McCaigBro69
Hamels' wife wanted to go to Dallas because her family lives there, so between making the wife happy and winning a couple divisions I doubt he has any regrets

I understand that, but since the trade to Texas his BB's and HR/9 have gone up significantly. He isn't who he was in Philly.
