Yes it was margins fault.but he's not really a 1b.

I assumed he meant charging when he squared in case he could make a play at 3rd.

Agreed, outside of possibly opening day and a few other days. Hard to assign the blame to any one person in particular. While Hitch has made some garbage decisions, he was kinda handed a shite staff this year coupled with a system that is built remarkably awful at stringing together innings and executing timely hitting. So LudBLOW also deserves a lot of blame.

gotcha. but, the hitter is trying to get the runner over so he's going to bunt down 3rd to pull the 3B away. Mahvin needed to get back to the bag. It's the only play

It's mostly Ludlow's fault for sure. It's hard to make anything but a shite sandwich when the kitchen is full of horse manure.

And the 2-2 sounded like it hit the bat for a foul tip strikeout.

Got to win it right here.

I guess we don't have much choice but to watch it play out. Long term strategy was bound to have growing pains. You can get off all day to wrc+ with your Ivy League nerd minions playing around with pivot tables, but you also can't have a bunch of guys who all have the same worst glaring weaknesses, tangibly and intangibly.

What's our bullpen era? It's gotta be terrible right?
