So when is the backup catcher going to start at 1st ? That was one of the reasons they signed him, his ability to play 1B if needed. There are no answers with Abreu and Singleton, except Abreu 's outrageous contract, and Espada being told to play him regardless. The Owner and his Stooge can't afford to look bad from their misadventures in General Management.

The team blows as a whole, but I would still like an explanation for why Bregman gets to suck absolute arse in the top of the lineup no matter what.

If all he can do is beg for walks for the first two months of every season, then why doesn't he bat 9th to start the season? At least then his walks could potentially lead to runs.

He being crowned a perennial top-of-the-lineup hitter is laughable.
