Making 16-146 a real possibility.

While we have time to kill, I would like to start a series called "Old Friends. Where are they now?" where we chronicle the existence of members of last year's Astro's team who are no longer part of the organization.
Installment #1: Cameron Maybin.
Nickname: "May-baw"
His Astro story: claimed from the Angels on August 31, just in time to be post-season eligible and just in time to move to city ravaged by floods from Hurricane Harvey. Brought on to add depth to the outfield and an infectious great attitude. Seemed like a really cool and likable guy.
Stats: not as good as I had thought...was 11-59 (.186 avg.) but had 4 HR, 1 double, 1 triple, 13 RBI, and 4 steals.
Key moments:
--hit a 3 run HR vs. the Mets in his 3rd game as an Astro to help the Astros sweep the Mets in their return home after the floods.
-- also: 2 days later, hit a 2-run HR in Seattle in the 7th inning to give the Astros a 3-1 lead and a win to Justin Verlander.
--then the next day in Seattle, hit a 2 run HR in the 9th to give the Astros a 5-3 win, extending their win streak to 6 games.
--got a lead off hit in the 11th inning of Game 2 of the World Series and promptly stole 2nd base. This ushered in the beginning of the "Series of Springer". Tasked with trying to hit the ball to the right side of the infield to move the runner, George was rewarded with a bigger prize: a 2 run-homer to right that won the game.
Where is he now: Miami. Signed a contract to return to Miami for the second time in his career in February. Maybin is batting .220 with no HR in 22 games for a team that will win about 28 games this year. Here's hoping the best for May-baw and that he can turn it around.

Is there a reason that Root has been airing the Rockets games?

Root
AT&T Sportsnet*
The NBA let's regional networks broadcast their playoff games in addition to the national broadcasts. The Astros are on the alternate channel when the Rockets are on.

What channel is it on directv?

Another day still with Sipp, Marisnick Fisher and Gattis on the big league club
I get giving Gattis some time but Marisnick is what he is. Last year was a career year at the plate and we dont have to let him swing himself out of the slump to know that. Fisher? What the hell do they think he is? Is he a platoon guy? Is he a bench pinch runner? Or is he a legitimate starter. If they think the first two then it should have been him in the Liriano deal not Teoscar Hernandez. If they think the latter well then either friggin play his arse or let him get out of his funk in AAA.
The dead weight on the active roster is killing this lineup.

I understand the frustration too. I’m about as frustrated with Gattis than I am with anyone rlse, but I take a step back and look at the entire picture. Is it “killing” this lineup? “Killing” this lineup to the best 23 game record in franchise history.
It’s really crazy how bad this lineup is right now and their record is where it’s at.
I’m just picking on your terminology. Says to me that this team is 3-21. Not 16-8.
