At least we got a decent prospect for him but you know I liked Davis. He needs to play somewhere consistently. Good for the Mets.

The issue was, we couldn't get anything for White because he is a fat version of Davis. So we picked White, who had done more for us, as the stopgap right-handed DH bat.
That gap should be re-filled by midseason at the latest, like the Cubs fan said.

Davis with the Mets
Laureano with the As
Santana with the mariners
Hernandez with the blue jays
All are playing important roles with their teams, but we have fatass white who DHs against lefties and sucks at it.

The Santana loss hurts just cause it was the dumbass Gomez trade. Laureano was a dumb "sell low" mistake. The other three guys are whatever.
The thing about White that seems idiotic is we're forcing it when Diaz can fill White's role. Like hoohoo said, let's get another speed guy on the bench like Fisher until Yordan is ready.
