IIRC we did pretty well against Smyly in the first series except we couldn’t score any runs. Made him throw 70+ pitches in 3 innings and a quick look at his numbers make it seem like he hasn’t been much better since facing us in his first game. Optimistic the offense is in better shape tonight than it was last time we came to town although I guess our last 13 innings in Oakland might say otherwise

Anything less than 2/3 this weekend would be frustrating. We aren’t gonna win every series but since we got our asses handed to us 2 weeks ago in Arlington it will sting if it happens again

I’m looking at White in the lineup as just one more opportunity for him to reach his required number of ABs to GTFO this WS roster, esp when he’s facing a LH and can’t mess up defensively

I think it’s worth noting that Stinky and Guzman are on the 10 Day IL. Not happy about Stinky. Better for us if he’s in the lineup. LOL

Speak of the devil (if the devil ate more than his fair share, that is):

@brianmctaggart
AJ Hinch on Tyler White: "He hasn't handled the fastball. He hasn't put fastballs in play like he normally does. He's getting pitched a little bit differently and he's going to have to adjust to that. It is a small sample. It's early in the season."

It’s pretty important for someone you’d hope to be a power hitter to see a fricking fastball

I am really mad that I stay fighting on tKing hill for long, I guess I am going die on it.

He just needs a few more ABs before turning it on. Y’all just wait

Ain't that the truth.

The thing I notice is that he hunches over a lot at the plate, and that may be why he struggles to square up heat at the belt and higher.

There is only one man to blame about someone hunching over to much and we all know who that is

I’m going to stump for Jake (again). You’ve got a potential 5 tool player who seems to have made some adjustments to cut down on strikeouts and looks improved at the plate. Give him more starts here early. If it’s not real, he can easily shift back to his current role.

I'd rather have Jake at DH than Fatass as this point

Maybe they'll score enough runs to match your golf score.

@Chandler_Rome
Yuli Gurriel has drawn six walks in the Astros first 19 games. He had 23 in 136 games last year.

How far have we come where yuli can work a count and draw a walk and Correa strikes out on 4 pitches?

I think they need to swap positions.?
