I had the same problem when I would catch a soft tosser when I was in college. I'm guessing he is doing it on off speed. Bad technique for sure.

All the talk preseason was whether Altuve or Correa would more likely challenge for MVP. So far, the answer is Springer.

IMHO, Springer will never be a legit MVP-type candidate.

His production has been great, esp for a 1 hole, but hitting sub-.250 and never stealing bases as a leadoff just not gonna get that many votes.

Altuve is starting to come on though. Was hoping Correa would take that next step this year and he hit well in the WBC but has started slow with us. Hopefully he comes back more aggressive after the injury heals. I hope Miss Texas isn't riding him too hard.

Yeah, George will always be streaky. He gets greedy/pull happy at least a couple times per season.

Morton doing a great job stranding base runners. Hopefully we can score a few more to give a little cushion for any Trout damage

Plus you can never have too much breathing room for the bullpen

Correa is conflicted on his approach at the plate.

He can't decide if he goes the way of Ted Williams or uses all fields.

It really is a tough decision when you are as gifted as he is.

Notice how many times, esp on the road, where he lets the ball travel and goes w the pitch, squares it up, and it's caught on the warning track.

Personally, I hope he continues to use all fields.

As opposed to the Gattis or Gurriel ABs you just witnessed

First pitch rolled over outside pitch to SS

Apples and oranges

Just a hot garbage approach vs. a guy who is going to keep pounding away.

Noticed that, too. Marwin I didn't fault that at bat. Looked like he got an inner half pitch and pulled it hard but right to first. Yuli definitely pulled an outside pitch.

I can't take it anymore, Ryno. It's all too much. TOO. MUCH.

Why not just intentionally walk him if you're gonna pitch him like that? Save 4 pitches on your pitch count.

I do like Correa's all fields approach. The good hitters take what's given to them and send it back that way. That being said, he's got a 315 foot short porch at the place he plays 81 games. I don't want him to get pull happy but I would like to see him get after the Crawford Boxes more often. That home run he hit opening night where he pulled his hands in and crushed that pitch to left was a thing of beauty.
