Me seeing the Stros win 10 in a row for a fifth time in my fandom would be a huge thrill for me.

I was in basic training Aug 17-Dec 3, 1999, so I missed the 12 game win streak during that season, but I did get newspaper clippings from my grandma, so I got all my news four or five days later, depending on when the drill sergeants felt like giving us our mail.
I was definitely a Stros fan in 1987, but I do not have any recollection of them winning ten in a row (and I believe it was a continuation from the 1986 season). I was six years old at the time.
Also, how did the 1998 team *not* win 10 in a row?
