I’m just hoping Altuve learned how to throw to first again.
If not, bregman May eat him in a fit of hunger rage.

Maybe it's time to sign Doug Mientkiewicz as a late inning first baseman to scoop up everything.

And just like that Fat Alex has become a Pillar of 2021 DAT culture.

Who wore the gut better: Bregman or Berkman?
Bregman will now be called Lance Bregman.
ETA: frick the dodgers and Tyler Bauer.

The most fun stat to follow in DAT during the first month of the season is the advanced stats around fat Bergman’s speed

Astros and Correa reach a deal for ‘21. 11.7 mil
He was seeking 12.5 and the team initially offered 9.75

It makes sense they settled. I don't think it was a "we don't want to pay you" thing but a "we're trying to keep a much salary flexibility as possible" situation. In the end, I think settling closer to his figure is a good sign for re-signing him.

With Carlos Correa's settlement Cot's Contracts now estimates the Astros' 2021 CBT payroll at $196,457,977. The CBT threshold, which the Astros don't appear willing to go over, is $210 million. There's around $13 million to play with either this winter or in July
We're probably done for the off season unless it's something less than $5 million or so.
Meanwhile in the West..

The Oakland A’s are acquiring SS Elvis Andrus and another player and will be sending DH Khris Davis and a pair of prospects to the Texas Rangers, sources tell ESPN.
The A's have lost Liam Hendriks, Joaquin Soria, Marcus Simien, Robbie Grossman, Khris Davis and Mike Fiers and Tommy La Stella

Call me a homer if you want, but I think the Astros get back to being division winners again.
Mariners and Rangers suck, Angels never ever correct their shitty pitching, and the A's lost WAY too many people, and if I'm the A's, I'd rather have Khris Davis. I don't think Andrus fits in well at all in Oakland.
I think we got a good bit of issues too, but I think we have less of them than the rest of the division teams.

I think the Rangers might be better than some people think. Probably going to take the over on their win loss o/u when those lines come out
Overall our division isn’t that great
Central sucks big time after ChiSox, gotta wonder if both wild cards will come out of the east between NY, TB, Toronto. Of course those teams will beat up on each other so who knows

Don't sleep on Minnesota. I don't see them dropping off. I think they'll be good, but the rest of the Central sucks though.

Mike Fiers returns to Oakland
Just a refresher
Astros shell Mike Fiers for 9 runs and 5 home runs in an inning
Weeks later Mike Fiers still arse hurt over being a shitty pitcher, snitches on his former teammates 2 years later
Fiers hides from the Astros the entire season including finishing the year as the only A's pitcher to not appear in the ALDS.

The A’s were the only team to make Fiers an offer, I’m told. Interesting - was he being blackballed for being a whistleblower? I certainly hope that’s not the case.
Nobody wants this rat gathering Intel in their clubhouse.

Yeah and there's no way a bunch of MLB teams have shady stuff going on similar to what the Astros did.
Carlos Beltrán came in and literally said the Astros were behind in this department and everyone seems to ignore that.
