FWIW on the Marlins side to be fair, team spokesman says Astros Information on my report is inaccurate. Respectfully disagree, but should be presented as their response.
That tells me that Tuck is off the table

100%
I'm a big believer in Tucker. Realmuto is a nice option at a position we could use some decent control (We would have him for three years), but I would rather package a couple of other guys.
Tucker and Whitley are two guys I don't want to part with

I'm a Tucker believer too but OF can easily be filled in FA. Also, I'm a big believer in Fisher. Realmuto is great offensively and defensively with speed.

Yeah Realmuto is a stud both offensively and defensively. And at a position we don’t have any highly rated prospects either
Would be ecstatic to land him

But with what we have coming off the books in the next 3 or 4 years, having an in-house, team-friendly contract stud OF to replace a Springer is huge. Allows you to put FA money in another area.
I love Fisher and think he's going to be a solid player, I just believe Tucker will be elite.
If a Fisher/Alvarez, Martes and TBD gets it done, then sign me up. I just don't want to trade a Top 10/15 prospect in all of baseball. I'm also a prospect hoarder though, so I understand the difference in opinion

Logically, the TBD that would make sense is Stubbs.

Luhnow will offer Alvarez, Stassi and James Hoyt and Jeter will accept.

Not particularly interested in giving up Tucker for a catcher considering the faster wear on a catcher and the 15-20 fewer games played a year.
Some considerations: Tucker isn't particularly far off. He could be a contributor this year. We're not hurting at catcher. Mccann isn't the perennial all star anymore but he's still above average offensively. Also, if Tucker matches the hype what's worth more...an all star outfielder for 155 games a year or a solid catcher for 140-145 games?

Well, this is McCann's last year, IMO
And he's likely not catching 100 games this year in the reg season
Realmuto may not have the track record to include Tucker, but the Fisher et al deals are more than interesting to me

The Orioles have inquired about the availability of Astros right-hander Collin McHugh, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com hears. Although McHugh could be the odd man out of a loaded Houston rotation this year, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported earlier this week that the reigning champions aren’t in a rush to trade him.

Half of our fan base was ready to ship him off for Cole. I think the same situation plays out here. I think we end up trading for Realmuto and there will constantly be rumors about Tucker or even Whitley being involved but in the end neither one of them gets traded.
Hell Pirates fans at one point thought they were going to get both of them for Cole. White Sox fans thought they were going to get him or Bregman for Quintana.
Jeff Luhnow has shown over and over again he is not willing to ship off an elite prospect, for anyone. Not Gerrit Cole, not Chris Sale and not JT Realmuto

I've noticed that fans often vastly overestimate the prospects it will take to get a trade done.

Oh yeah, especially the other teams. I mean to be fair the DAT was the same way during the dark ages when we were shipping off players like Bud Norris and Wandy Rodriguez, expecting to get way more than they were worth

Everyone overrates their players and underrates others

That’s fair too, but unlike a lot of other teams, our GM seems to share the opinion of the value (or overvalue according to some) of our prospects
