Maybe Jim Crane will let Alex have visitation rights with the World Series trophy.

Maybe if the Dodgers had brought Wood into Game 7 with a 4 run lead, the L.A. dugout would have felt the same way?

Why is it a "weird example" of anything? Morton was so good the first time he faced the Dodgers in Game 4, McCann believed he'd easily protect a comfortable lead in Game 7.

What does that have to do with how Wood pitched in Game 4?

i must have mis understood what was being said. thought he said the series was sewed up after game 4 after how uncomfortable they looked in game 4. which i thought was weird considering how the rest of the series went

if he was talking about morton in general then yea, i just was dumb and stuff

Yeah, McCann stated postgame of Game 7 himself, but Smoltz said it during the game.

Smoltz said McCann told him it was the best "stuff and control of it" that he had ever seen.

Buck then said to Smoltz, "And he caught you." To which Smoltz said, "Yeah."

Some good stuff from Baseball America chat on the Astros farm system. Whitley is the truth.

Still wish we’d deal for Realmuto.

I'm curious to what we would have to give up to get Realmuto.

I think they’re holding the same line on Realmuto as Yelich. They’re in no hurry to deal him and rightfully want a lot. He would be a great addition though obviously

Might want one more prospect but I think Tucker would get them to deal right away. I dunno if I would want to give up Tucker though as an Astros fan. Maybe for Yelich I dunno about Realmuto

McHugh has a Fiers feel to me going into 2018

Innings eater w moderate success that can keep the real guns arms fresh for the playoffs. I don't see him as a trade piece.

Of course, his health could be a concern.

I also think a C move would now be more likely at trade deadline, unless Stassi is a complete flop and Gattis resumes backup role early on.
