The yankee allure scares me with Correa and Bregman. Both guys like the big stage

Yeah, the Yankees are stacked at SS. That may be our saving grace.

and the Sox are stacked in the OF which may save us with Springer.

but Correa has said on more than one occasion before he was drafted that he always dreamed of wearing pinstripes.

I mean Correa could absolutely leave Houston, but I don't think it will be because of the team not winning or because the stage isn't big enough. There have been Astros players on the Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live this week. The endorsements and national exposure for Altuve Correa and Springer are about to be huge by MLB standards. If he leaves it will be over money.

He will play for a team that can pay him and win. As long as the Astros can prove both to him, he's going nowhere

And anything can happen but I don't see the Astros falling off in the next 4 years to where he thinks he can't win here.

What does this have to do with ppl not wanting to play with the Yankees
The sons dont like over paying for players like the boss did

Winning it all this year was HUGE to keep this core together. Reassured the players the ownership is in it to win and win big and reassured the owners now that if a winner is on the field the city will rally behind them and will buy tickets and merchandise. It's going to be tough to keep the entire core together but I don't think it will be due to lack of a legitimate attempt.

Is that why they paid Ellsbury 153 million and a closer 86?

Just keep having 9 playoff home games a year and the cash will be flowing in

So 2 players in 7yrs? The Boss would over pay 25 players every year

Rafael Soriano, Kevin Youkilis, Beltran, also remember the time Cliff Lee turned down like 20 mil more from free agent destination New York to sign back with Philly
