I went back and read the thread. When I last posted, we were down 3-0 and I was referencing bullpen meltdowns from 2015

So I learned these things:

--Uncle Mike went from "national treasure" to "international treasure"

--We are ready to pay all of our money to him, Springer, and Carlito.

--Despite all the efforts by posters to help, Yuli is broken.

--Reddick might pull a hanging curve over the 1st base dugout

--The A's thought they wanted some of this, but they messed with the bull and got the horns.

I think that covers most of it...

And I should have included this too:

Although the Carlos Correa "frick you" tour has been pretty enjoyable

You nailed it. I've enjoyed this as much as anything. He has talked the talk and followed it by fricking up everything that gets in his way.

Also there was a collective pants shitting when Semien took Javi to the warning track in the 7th.

Yes, especially the way balls had been flying out. And Ted’s bumbling stumbling catch didn’t exactly make it any better.

I’m not sure if this has been shared, but if so, it’s worth sharing again

Today we get to watch the Rays & Yankees burn arms while we watch :). I hope they go 18 innings.

Yes hopefully Cole and Snell each go 7 scoreless, and Glasnow and the rest of the Yankees bullpen each throw 6 scoreless and it's 0-0 into the 13th

Glasnow and Snell each were in the Rays bullpen last night, Cash is obviously going to start one of them and the other will definitely pitch in relief.

Here's a salty article from The Ringer about our 2017 World Series Champions

Damn it, the Astros are Really Going to do This, Aren't They?

quote:

Here is an incomplete list of everyone who did not want this to happen. You. Me. Joe Kelly. Orel Hershiser. Ramón Laureano. Bob Melvin, Billy Beane, and the whole of Oakland’s traditional right-field drum crew. The members of multiple angry group chats I’m in. Trevor Bauer. Cody Bellinger, Alex Wood, Clayton Kershaw, David Ross, and the collective Yankees dugout. Your ma, probably, too.

quote:

The worst part, other than them doing it, is that the Astros know nobody wanted them to stamp their ticket to the ALCS this week. Maybe just as bad: They have the gall to say so

Love it.

If we get the Yanks, and get past the Yanks.....then can we unseal the damn letter already?!?!?!

A man can dream. Heck, give Correa the letter opener! Getting this far has been amazing, but damn that would be the icing! Hey world, the Yankees did it too!
