I went back today to look at last month and he actually was really good this last month outside of the oakland start. 6+ innings of 1-2 run baseball each time out. I think (I hope) that today is more a product of not being on his regular rest. Ive heard both him and Verlander talk about how theyd rather be on 5 days rest whenever they have an extended time. Could just be excuses but its always said that command is the issue on extended rest which fits these two games

A lot of it would be score dependent. I would much prefer Peacock starting game 3. If you can bring Morton in to start an inning with time to fully warm up, I don't think that it's a big issue.
