Mancini has been frustrating as hell but has the type of bat that can shift a series if he gets hot (big if right now obviously). I would personally roll with him in hopes he found something during the off days with Hensley ready to go for a late at bat if Mancini doesn’t do shite

First WS without Joe Buck on the call since the 1990s.

There won’t be any Christmas presents under the tree this year, but we’re on our way to games 1 & 2!

Go Astros!

On a personal level I've been rooting for the guy to have a signature moment. After everything he went through plus by all accounts he's just a good dude. But man he's been bad. I'd love to see him deliver a big run scoring hit

To be honest I’ve thought the Astros would win it all since the all star break. They have weapons everywhere and have a great staff. But I think the Astros take it in 6. However I’m rooting for the Phillies . Their postseason run has been a blast and I hope it countinues.

Same. Aside from the emotional part of it he does offer the most upside which is why I am okay with them continuing to give him chances

I’d like to see one of Mancini, Diaz and Hensley take over DH in the series by earning it. Mancini and Hensley are great stories, Diaz is capable of good ABs. I don’t care which one as long as one of the three gets hits.

And as far as Mancini is concerned, I think he’s out before he gets in the box

exactly, pretty much the opposite of

philly fans seem like Boston fans without the success of boston sports.

bunch middle to upper class loud white dudes acting like they are tough as shite cause phillys murder rate is high (or in boston's case there was a gangster that was famous 20 years ago)

it is like if i pretended i was tough because there is a lot of murders in the 5th ward.

If the options are Mancini or Diaz (because we know Baker isn't giving Hensley a shot) then I'd just roll with Mancini because Diaz offers more flexibility pinch hitting later in the game.

Although at this point the only player that should be pinch hit for is Maldy, so the flexibility is really a moot point unless someone gets hurt.

Hard to believe we've gotten more production from the Catcher's spot than leadoff or DH...yet here we are in the WS.

Mancini is 0/5 with 2 Ks vs. Nola.

I'd ride with Hensley, personally.

I think DH will be decided based on analytics. I'd like Hensley. I bet it's Diaz.

It’s pretty much who do you think is more likely to run into one and knock it into the boxes. I’d go Mancini. Diaz offers more versatility on the bench if needed.

If he does start Diaz, I wish he’d put him in left and DH Yed

I feel like Diaz would have a higher OPS in the same number of PAs

Thank the maker for roofs. Pouring right now. Hopefully it clears up before people start heading into the stadium
