I’m not saying he has ever done it in this specific context. I’m saying he has been asked to do more in the playoffs previously and was able to be effective that time. Honestly, I think houston ends it tonight.

When I went to ALCS 7 in 2017, there was a mass of humanity on Crawford Street bogged down waiting to get through the metal detectors. It was one of those things I just had to chuckle at, the irony that the security measures had created this shoulder to shoulder hoard of people in an unsecured area where someone with ill intent could maximize casualties.

Absolutely. Nothing wrong with that. Also, if the Astros are lucky enough to win the ALCS and play the Braves the Astros will have homefield.

I'm trying so hard to decide about going to the game tonight with a few friends who have SRO tix
One on hand, my feet have been fricked up for a few months where even the slightest bit of activity makes them unbelievably sore. So standing for 5-6 hours (would have to show up at 5) does not sound very enticing. Plus I'm 3-0 this series watching from my recliner, both losses were when I was out in public with friends
On the other hand, Stros haven't lost a playoff game I've been to since 2015 against KC and I've been to like 8-10ish. And for all we know this could be the last time some of us get to see stros win a pennant in person (I wasn't there for '17 or '19). And if we lost tonight I could return to the recliner for game 7

the offense is hurting... no matter in a WS whomever you face is a solid team..i just think atl is hotter right now of course if la wins they're the hot team

I want Braves/Astros for the fun of the fan bases on this board, for HFA for the Astros and what I think is a more even matchup for us. And the Braves fans deserve to host a WS far more than the shite arse Dodger fans.

I think the Dodgers are better on paper, the Braves are scorching hot. I’m not sure how much it matters. Mostly I want the Braves because I hate LA and I think it would be a fun matchup.

Atlanta hosting WS games would be a massive frick YOU to Manfred for the All-Star game debacle.

If you get there early you can stake a table at either the old torchy deck or Michelob deck. You’d have a spot to sit down at when you need it

Didn't realize LA would have it. The division champ > wild card doesn't apply in the WS I guess?
The flashbacks to the Nats won't allow me to root one way or the other, but the Dodgers have the better roster if we're looking at it objectively. Only thing I know for sure is that the coverage of Astros/Braves would be more enjoyable for me. More baseball, less soap opera.
BUT... lets win a pennant first! Go Stros!
