We are playing against a team with an unlimited amount of house money. They have exceeded expectations and have absolutely nothing to lose. Whereas we were made the favorite after Cleveland was ousted.

AJ’s biggest job for this series was to keep this team loose but focused. At this point, even with two wins, he’s failed to do that. It’s the only way to explain the complete and utter collapse of this offense.

Mate I'd happily bet on your Astros if they were disciplined hitters

Me neither. Bats have to wake up eventually.

The fact that all we can hit is a bunch of lightly struck ground balls pretty much confirms the Yankees have a particular wah of attacking our hitters and we've made 0 adjustments. It's just ground ball after ground ball after ground ball

I wouldn’t count on it, NY pitching has us figured out. Not hitting with RISP is contagious and we’re playing like a team is playing in August ready for the postseason to start

Sad thing is, this team will mostly be the same next year, outside of a bullpen arm or 2.

Same losers will play like losers.

This is what we played like when everyone decided to take their ball home after the trade deadline

what happened to us being the most advanced metric thinking team?

We're supposed to be ahead of the curve in launch angles and defensive positioning, but the outfield positioning has killed us and all we've done is roll over ground balls with off balanced swings

Soooooo many weak ground balls. Our offense sucks right now. Has to be the worst slump they've been in all year

0 fight in this bunch of losers. They've made no adjustments. They don't jump on early fastballs, they don't try to go the other way. They get themselves into 0-1, 0-2 counts. Lay off an outside pitch or 2 and then ground out weakly to the pull side.

You could cure cancer and this team would still have those stupid "IDK" blank looks on their faces.

The Astros' line up has been scouted and analyzed by the Yanks coaching staff. It's up to the Astro hitters to make the adjustments but they don't seem able to do so.

This is why I hate a 2-3-2 series....exactly this reason where the home team winning all the games means that the visiting team gets to the clinching position first...this game 5 should be tomorrow in Houston

Reminds me of the last away Oakland series when we scored all those runs the first game but blew a big lead late, then couldn’t come close to hitting anything the next 3 day’s against a bunch of nobodies.
