I was thinking that too.
But there is no way hinch is gonna jumble the lineup that much right now

Nothing that Kemp did could have made that distinctive noise.
Correct because it was metal on metal from when his glove banged through the metal placeholder plate which then shifted and hit the frame.

Boston fans can even find a way to feel wronged in a game that they won. Pathetic

No, he won't, but he needs to do everything possible to get guys on in front of Bregman and also protect him with worthwhile bats behind him.

Guriel has a pretty good history against porcello, but I think marwin moves behind bregman.

I am not getting personal, It’s the same shite with every boston fanbase. Been successful to historically successful in every single sport and y’all still manage to act like victim that gets no respect

That lineup is NEVER happening.
Springer is leadoff. Not changing. Didn't change after 4 K's in LA, not changing now. Not saying I agree, just accepting what I know to be true from within the organization.
It's not Hinch's style or M.O. to give any regular starter even a hint of uncertainty in his confidence in their ability. He will stick with Yuli, and I happen to agree with him here.
I plan on enjoying tonight's game, something I don't often do. Following this team over the course of a season is far more "fun" than sweating playoffs. Next year will be without the sufferage of Keuchel starts, Gattis ABs, and one can only hope Reddick's lack of production with runners on base.
It should include a healthy Altuve and Correa, a couple of starters more dependable than our present nibbler, and maybe even a young up and coming stud the likes of Bregman.
Regardless of outcome, this team has fared better than most if not all teams attempting to repeat since the late '90s.

You don't move Springer down because he's struggling, you move him down because he can actually protect Bregman.
But yeah, it's not going to happen.

Why are you even engaging that idiot?
Cause this is a thread to engage about the game/series. And his point is valid.
Or are we back to the theme of "Guy supports other team and has different opinion than us, therefor hes an idiot troll".
Anyway, Pretty Ricky needs to win this game today. Its our biggest pitching matchup advantage of the series. I think we could see a 4 out save from Kimbrel if necessary because we avoided him last night. Kelly should be able to go for a bit too.
Then its full reset on travel day and if you cant find a clincher at home with Sale/Price et al then you deserve to go home. But those will be hard cause Verlander/Cole wont go down easy so you need a couple shots at it. I actually would consider flipping Price to go at Verlander and Sale to duel Cole (rest days permitting).

There were 2 distinct impact sounds. Ball on wall, glove/body on wall.

Not necessarily, but the particular poster in question, well he's an idiot troll in more threads than just this one.

I feel like you're skipping over game 5 here.

no that would be where i said i want to throw Price against Verlander. Essentially a "good if you can get" thing.
Id feel way more comfortable going into a game 6 3-2 with Sale on the mound then 3-2 having just burned another Sale start again Verlander and needing Price to step up.

I think he was just presenting a point of discussion. He makes a good case - I can't say definitively what the ball did or didn't hit, and without some type of computer model, perhaps no one can, and as others (including the guy who made the assertion that the catch was not good) have pointed out, it did not matter.
I've been a Red Sox fan probably longer than a significant portion of posters in this thread have been alive, and I can tell you that from outside looking in, you guys have the wrong idea about Red Sox fan angst. It is light years from what it was at one time - the world would have truly been ending had something like this happened pre-2004 AND they had lost. It is not that way anymore, and without being so presumptuous as to speak for PJ, I don't think the tenor of his post regarding the matter conveyed that kind of angst.

Well you said get a clincher at home with Sale/Price, but one of those guys is going to throw in Houston.

Yeah, you've proven you're a baseball guy and a student of the game.
