So the extra rest is not helping teams so far

Think I saw a tweet that he’s been one of the unluckiest hitters this season.

Glad we're using our 2nd best pitcher on a game we weren't gonna win anyway.

Can we go ahead and give Cluck his trade deadline grade now?
- A replacement for Brantley in Mancini whose performance, outside of an early home run spree, resembles nothing close to Brantley’s and whose heart still resides In Baltimore.
- A catcher who was supposed to improve that position both defensively and more importantly, offensively who can’t sniff the lineup because of the clown chewing on a toothpick in the dugout
- And a lefty reliever who can’t make the postseason roster.
Grade: FFF

And it looked, at the time, like a pretty good set of deals.

His numbers are almost identical to Maldonado’s since he joined the Astros
.176 average and similar power numbers
1B, C, and CF will be priorities again, just like they were at the deadline
Nice to see Gurriel today, but he likely used all his production for the series in vain

I don't know about pinch hitting for Chas, but at least it seems like Maldy won't hit.

MLB promoted the extra rest as a good thing and how it would be more of an advantage to teams

Guys, honestly…if Dusty have these guys more rest during the season we wouldn’t be seeing a game like this.
