Mid April is probably the time line just for his activation. Then he likely goes to extended spring training for a period and then a rehab assignment and then has to serve the 5 game suspension. So we'll be without him the first month or so.

Which is why one of the 3 guys I mentioned is going to break camp with the club and play a good bit of 1st during that month. It's unlikely that Marwin is penciled in as the every day 1B during that timeframe and eliminate his flexibility as a utility guy.

Yuli posted some Instagram videos of him playing catch and taking some light swings off a tee, good that he’s getting back to training

When did the Yankees acquire a 4 win 23 yr old third baseman?

Also, Greg Bird > Yuli? Not sure he’s shown enough to say that at this point. I would say we are better at every infield position

I’ll give them first, but not by much. But 2nd, 3rd and SS are very clearly Astros>>Yankees

I'll definitely take Yuli over Greg Bird. And At Brandon Drury being better than Bregman

Based on past, Yuli is definitely better, but Bird does have a much higher ceiling

When you factor in the $13.5 million owed to him the next two years, the Astros have essentially locked up Altuve for the next seven years for an average of $23.35 million per season.

Not bad.

I wasn’t necessarily going to panic if we didn’t make any progress signing some of the core guys this offseason, but it obviously is soooooo nice to not have looming infront of us

Now focus on Correa next offseason
