Regarding Ted

quote:

He's a good-looking young player who is doing a great job of making a great first impression," Hinch said. "He's got some things to learn, he's got some things to work on. He's a great talent, and I think that's where it starts and ends. I think his contribution to the Major League level will come at some point if he continues to progress, but it's not going to come at the end of the month no matter what he does. We feel it's just not in the best interest for him.

quote:

"Like with a lot of hitters -- we've seen this happen with [Carlos] Correa and [Alex] Bregman and George [Springer] -- when they get closer to the big leagues, there's a lot of fine-tuning that goes on and a lot of that circles around tougher game plans that start to come about when the regular season starts," Hinch said. "When you start facing competition in-season, those are things he'll finish off in the big leagues at some point. I'm certainly happy with what he's doing."

Not surprised, he was never making the ML roster this soon.

Of note, I’m excited about Fisher this year

Fisher holding down LF would be a huge boost for us. Doesn’t even need to be a star, just solid offense and maybe look a bit more fluid in the field than last year.

The Anthony Gose experiment is off to a rough start

And that's why Gose isn't making the club. 100 don't matter if you can't throw it for strikes.

Gose is spending too much time around Giles.

That's unfair. Giles throws a lot of strikes. Sometimes they are big fat meatball strikes.

Gose sees Giles, doesn't want to be like him, does the opposite?

Maybe that logic works better.

Anybody heard any reviews about this new show that’s apparently being released soon? Rumors say mid to late summer could be a possibility for the pilot

I don't know if this has been discussed here, but starting in 2019 the San Antonio Missions will be jumping up to AAA

(They are technically going to be the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, but when the Sky Sox move to San Antonio they are going to become the Missions)

It makes sense the Rangers will be the new affiliate for them since Round Rock will likely become our new Triple-A Affiliate starting next season.

Yeah I know it’s been rumored for a little while now that we’d be getting Round Rock back. I think that’ll be a huge success with how many fans we’ve got in the Austin area now that we are good. I know a lot of people up there that will go to plenty of games
