There goes the hitless streak and Maldy just bought 50 more starts in May.

Told CF to be aggressive when Maldonado came up, b/c he’s a bad runner

Then reminded him once Maldonado was on base

Yea I appreciate the hell out of them including the Hispanic players that have learned English but it’s just a rough listen

Ah ok thanks. I heard that but misunderstood. I thought he was talking about Hensley going home on a single and trying to nail him at the plate, which confused me because I was thinking Hensley wasn’t a bad runner.

Dusty is about to convince Crane to sign Maldy to a 10 year contract. 2 for his last 2. He's the greatest catcher alive.

Baker starts Bannon and this dude can't be ready for the pitch clock.

Meanwhile, Maldonado is gonna earn a day off with these two hits.

Yordan Alvarez and Martin Maldonado have a combined wOBA of .317 in 2023. The league-average wOBA is .319.

Two random MLB hitters are expected to have outperformed Alvarez and Maldonado. Maldonado has effectively neutralized the impact of the best bat in the Astros lineup.
