I'll try my first of the year to avoid the sweep and maybe wake up bats. Had a winning record last year with DAT creations, let's get at it.

I'm one game over .500 so far this year.

Sort of like the Astros.

This game feeks winnable, so we're probably fricked.

Great! Night game after a night game. Maldy can start.

Loss and Moldy starts again for some shocking reason.

The Moldometer stands at 0-24. He hasn't had a hit since game 1 of the Blue Jays series on April 17th.

He's started 20 of our 27 games and has a total of 8 hits. He's 8/61 on the year.

Oh well good thing he’s elite at framing (47 out of 56 qualified) and blocking (45 out of 60 qualified).

I hate that I’m getting so annoyed by something that’s just never going to change, especially coming off a WS.

Looking around the league, unsurprisingly Maldy has the lowest hit total among any regular starter at catcher. There's 7 teams that have a backup with more hits than Maldy.

One to watch is Austin Nola of the Padres. He's keeping close company with Maldy at 9/60 to Maldys 8/61. Curious to see if his playing time dwindles if he doesn't pick it up.

It takes Crusty months to process lineup changes, so expect him to sit sometime around August.

These 1 run per game Astros are boring AF.

Oh I meant Nola. Just for comparison sake a catcher on a contender who's hitting equally poorly. But Nola has a much better track record as a hitter. Just curious if he keeps up the poor hitting if they'll make excuses and keep starting him.

1. Dubon gets a day off before shitty Abreu

2. Hensley can play 2nd if Dubon has to have a day off

3. There's no rational defense to put Bannon in the lineup for a 2nd time in 3 games.

I swear it's intentional because he's heard the heat on his usage of Diaz. It's like "I'm gonna be as dumb as fricking possible so y'all know I'm in charge"

And while we're filing gripes, who's the jerk making the roof decision? It's supposed to range between 84-78 for tonight's game. 0 chance of rain, low wind. Roof closed.

He didn’t have to go far to get there. Such an arrogant miserable prick.

Such over emotional criticism for the manager that was responsible for the Astros winning it all last season.
