Is Jalen carter really worthy of no.1 overall? I mean that Georgia defense was dominant and I’d say he’s a 1st round talent no doubt, and the best interior d lineman in the draft, but I just don’t see him being a once in a generation tackle the way Aaron Donald is or Ndamakung suh when he came out, which is what I feel like you should be if you’re a no.1 overall draft pick at DT

He'd have gone #1 overall last year if he was eligible as he was the best player on the 2021 Georgia defensive line. He got high-lowed against Missouri this year and missed a few games with an MCL injury. He came back and played a few snaps against Florida but wasn't really needed that day.

He was a destroyer of worlds against Tennessee and LSU at the end of the season. Everyone remembers him picking up LSU's QB during the SECCG (and setting him down relatively gently, that was NOT a dirty play at all), but what he did to #50 on this play was even more impressive:

I think he's freakishly talented. He's been comped to Warren Sapp for awhile and not just because they're both from Apopka. Dude can play.

as do I. Which is why I think he’s the best interior defensive lineman in the draft. I just don’t know if that equals no.1 overall pick. Feel like I’d get more from drafting a qb and trading him or just trading down.

That Richardson pick actually makes a lot of sense. You could argue the Lions would be better off using the pick to shore up their defense but if they go the Mahomes route and let Richardson sit and learn and not throw him into the fire it could pay off down the road when they have to either overpay Goff or let him walk. It would be a terrible pick if he was selected by someone like the Panthers or the Jets where he would be expected to start right away but it's not a bad pick for a team who won't need him for a year or two.

Completely agree

Chiefs I'm sure will have another monster draft like the last two years.

I'm not sure if the Chiefs will move up or move down but I am absolutely certain they are not going to stay where they are at.

there's the rub. No one knows how these guys are going to develop or they wouldn't constantly miss so many times. There are obviously a couple of can't miss players each year but it's amazing how many surprises/busts there are every draft

Anthony Richardson has slowly crept up to QB2 among B/R's rankings. @QBKlass working quietly in the night only to drop bombs.

As we enter NFL combine week:

1. CJ Stroud
2. Anthony Richardson
3. Bryce Young

Will Levis doesn't currently carry a first-round grade.

How many GMs are going to get fired over the next 5-10 years chasing the next Josh Allen?

Probably a bunch of them.

what the F

I get the upside is huge, but if he is the 2nd QB taken he is likely a top 5 pick right?

If indeed the 2nd QB taken, he likely goes #2 overall.

Let Irsay set up a few lines and throw on a Anthony Richardson highlight clip on YouTube and hell be trading his first born son to draft him #1 overall

If the Texans GM takes Richardson at 2 he should be fired on the spot then committed to a looney house.

Why do mock "experts" do this every single year. I'm calling a safety or edge defender.

I don’t think there’s any analyst out there that claims to be an expert mock drafter. That’s not the point of their jobs. Mock drafts are simply easy ways to create entertainment/discussion out of a draft

If you’re sitting there going “ha these idiots didn’t even pick the right player!” You’re missing the entire point. Of course it’s hard to project where players go. There’s 32 teams making their own independent evaluations and rankings based on their system and their team needs and team building philosophy on a pool of hundreds of prospects. You’d have to be a psychic to be an “expert mock drafter”
