Wiley came out swinging. Calls them simple minded fools among other things

quote:

Marcellus Wiley says his “pass” for Colin Kaeprnick has expired. Doesn’t think Kap and Nessa are qualified enough to lead the movement the way they’ve been due to not being fully black.

quote:

Kaepernick comes from a situation where he never felt the full weight of these injustices. This is a mixed race guy who was raised by a white family from Wisconsin to central California. Respect — that does not disqualify you from talking for us but when you make misteps and miscalculations, oh, it comes back into play.

quote:

He also questioned Kaep’s girlfriend’s Nessa Diab background, saying her ethnicity is “not Black.” Nessa’s parents are from Egypt. Wiley declared, “We got two leaders who don’t even feel the weight of the controversy.”

He never spoke on this when Black Lives Matter movement was at its height. Think about it. 2013, 2014 Ferguson. When Jay Z is bailing prisoners out and protesters out and supporting Trayvon Martin's family, where was Kaepernick? You know where he was? Taking his shirt off bruh. I knew Kaepernick back then and he was never talking about this. But then he meets Nessa in 2015 and then all of a sudden in 2016 he gets benched. Flip flop.

Wiley likely means “not American black”.

There’s a decent sized rift between American blacks and those from either the Caribbean or Africa, especially since a lot of the latter walk right in and succeed.

This reminds me of #darkskin vs #lightskin on twitter years ago. Wiley’s is entirely too old to be doing this shite.

I’ve said this since the kneeling started. Look at kaep’s social media circa 2014 vs after being benched.

Not to mention a lot of Egyptians aren't even "black". I have a friend who is half Egyptian and he looks like a "normal" white guy.

Let’s just say that the Muslim conquest of North Africa changed the entire bloodline of the area and leave it at that.
