This was when the Catholic League was still somewhat neighborhood schools and we were all-boys with what would have been an even higher enrollment than we have now (in the early 70s we were like 1,800 all boys, that would be 3,600, way bigger than any current school). Now they all have kids from all over and obviously we can’t, hence that most are now borderline 4A/5A enrollment yet are still the top teams in the state

25 years prior to split.. catholic league 2 state titles in football... shaw 87 and rummel in 2012... Jesuit and HC no titles since integration. BM 1971.. Hardly top teams in state.

when in catholic league, zero trips to football playoffs

You’re quoting way back when. I’m talking about now. I know you don’t want to admit it but Rummel, Curtis, and Karr are all top ten programs of the last decade, and Brother Martin and Jesuit aren’t far behind if they’re not

And that 0 trips to the playoffs is irrelevant too… that Vince Manalla year we were 8-2. We had I think 8 winning seasons in that district. It’s not their fault they didn’t have the current format back then

Teams like Zachary and Destrehan can play with these teams any year. Even smaller schools like Amite have had tons of success against the lower tier select league teams. Maybe Louisiana could have a select/non select grand championship game? 4 weeks of playoffs per conference, then meet for a championship. Kinda like and NFC/AFC "Superbowl" game.

Brother Martin 0 - 0 Rummel, halftime

They're 5-2, but Brother Martin may have the worst offense in the state.

Rummel can’t tackle for shite..

But 2/3 their defense is freshmen and sophomores.

Running clock in the 2nd half in the Parkview game. This Mentorship Academy school is turrible.

Rummel has allowed 35, 36, and 42 points in the last 3 games but Brother Martin is going to get shutout and lose 3-0 to Rummel.

Lambert was out tonight. BM's offense is awful, even when Lambert is healthy. Lonardo is a WR/TE playing QB but what they're doing with him is sad.
