10¢ beer night in Cleveland has to be high on the list.

Billy Martin was the Rangers manager at the time, and told his team to grab a bat so they could fight their way off the field.

I would offer Game 3 of the 1989 World Series when the Loma Prieta earthquake struck.

It still strikes me that many of the players waved their families out of the stands and onto the field - I guess so their loved ones could potentially watch 60 thousand people die when Candlestick collapsed?

Disco demolition night is worse than 10 cent beer night, the latter was somewhat predictable

Caldwell was struck by lightning while playing for the Cleveland Indians against the Philadelphia Athletics in 1919; despite being knocked unconscious, he refused to leave the game, having pitched 8+2/3 innings, and went on to record the final out for the win.

For the six starts Caldwell made that year with Cleveland, he went 5–1 with a 1.71 earned run average. This included the game where he was struck by lightning and a no-hitter against his former longtime teammates, the New York Yankees, on September 10.

The incredible story of Ray Caldwell

Jim Abbot becoming an MLB pitcher is incredible. His throwing a no-hitter at that level?

Sure except you’d have a dong hanging out of it and that’s gross.
