Not really, I just didn't expand on the idea or not. The second statement is what I think probably happened. The first statement was more in response to the idea that they may have been truly undecided still.

You said you either want the guy or you don't.
Then you provided a reasonable explanation as to why it's not as simple as that (aka the terms matter). Same applies to players contracts etc. You may want the guy, but not at the terms he's asking.
Anyway, not a big deal or anything just found it odd as I was reading the thread.

Yeah they were probably going to treat him like they did Red Jesus. Extend him but not enough years that players would ever believe he was the long term coach which makes it far less likely he’d ever be able to get players to buy into what little culture can be instilled w/Jerry’s constant meddling and forced sideshow antics.

If I'm wrong I'm wrong but having watched every one of his games at Colorado I HIGHLY doubt he goes top 5. Way too many holes in his game to be picked that high.

I'm not hating because I don't think he's great and it's a weak QB class but you're most certainly going to be wrong. I mean you can look at every reputable mock draft out there and almost every single one have Shaduer, Cam Ward, and Travis Hunter going 1-3. The order varies depending on the site but those are the guys. He's been projected as a top QB for over a year now.

Well it is possible that this s Jerry’s last hire.. he needs to hit on it if he wants that one more SB run. Sanders is not the answer.
