The White Sox with El Duque, Buerhele, Contreras and Garland is the best since the mid 90s Braves

It’s crazy man, I used to follow the MLB religiously. Watched/listened to multiple games a day, had the network pass, watched near EVERY Brave game.

I’ve never heard of any of these guys

I’m not sure this is the best rotation in D-Backs history.

White Sox very underrated.

How bout the 2017 top heavy nationals with Scherzer, Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez and Tanner Roark.

Or the all time on paper 2004 cubs with Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Carlos Zambrano, Greg Maddux and Matt Clement (lowest WAR was Prior with a 2.6)

Legitimately a contender for the worst sports thread I’ve ever seen on this site. Holy shite.

Cox did have his flaws in the playoffs, but I wonder how much the addition of the Wild Card made a difference. It’s become a lot more rare for the best team to win the World Series ever since they added the Wild Card. The 1996-2000 Yankees are really the only team to have found the solution. The 2017-2023 Astros are probably the next closest, but their two best teams during that stretch didn’t even win the World Series (2018, 2019)

2019 Astros.

Cole, Verlander, Greinke, Framber, Miley

Peacock actually started nearly double the games Framber did that year.

That’s how I feel. I went to my first MLB game in 1993. I can name the entire starting lineup for both teams. I can barely remember 1 or 2 players from a game I saw last summer.
