About 90% of people I know personally that have lived in EAV have moved. About 75% of them moved after their doors got kicked in for the 3rd, 4th time. You gotta be a hardcore gentrifier to live on the frontier out there.

Also, someone in this thread mentioned how nice Atlantic Station is. Please tell me they were soundly disparaged.

I live in Atlantic Station. It's not a bad neighborhood.

It's mostly students and people that work in the surrounding area that live over here. Now the people that visit on the weekends are a different story. That's why they started piping in country music over where all of the shops are on the weekends.

Haha I know. Atlanta is the only town in America where cheap Swedish furniture megastores attract a "bad" crowd.

Doesn't AS have cruising checkpoints because of prostitution?

There's more money in Alpharetta, Roswell and Johns Creek than Austell, Acworth and Kennesaw, but good job pulling everything completely out of context.

And then your little friend chimes in about money on the southside. First no one said there was more money on the southside, but I doubt many of you northwestern newbie transplants have ever been to Newnan or Peachtree City. Plenty of money down there.

You are an absolute lemming if you think attendance is based on the facilities. Buy right into the company line.

I don't care that they move it as long as the Braves and Cobb pay for it.

What? No.

There are no checkpoints. We do have a branch of APD here though. AS has their own security team too.

The only people who don't like this are...

1. Jealous Gwinnettians because they got a civic center that hosts a minor league hockey team and concerts from the people who almost won American Idol and Cobb gets the Braves.

I love this move.

It's not even an argument that the overwhelming majority of fans who attend Braves games come from north of downtown and the northern suburbs. Putting the stadium closer to these people will 100% increase attendance.

As do most reasonable people however, you know county pride comes into play for a lot of people blasting this move.

Nah. I don't care for hipsters. I don't own any flannel, I love sports, and I've been to L5P once in the last year.
