8 first round byes, played every Saturday til two teams are left and play in the Rose Bowl on New Years.

If this is the model, it'll be great.

We already know there is a week between the regular season and round 1 of the playoff. The national championship is still going to be late January and the New Years 6 bowls will still host games.

All of this has already been announced

Makes sense. Are we going to get Round 1 on the same week as Army/Navy? What if Army or Navy are the G6 qualifier?

There are 18 Saturdays between Labor Day kickoff to the Rose Bowl. And, the CFB winner could potentially have to play all but one of them.

Guess player safety isn't nearly as big of a deal as it was a few years back?

Why don’t we just end the regular season altogether?

LSU might actually make it again if it expands, so there's that.

Sounds like they’re going to start the season a week earlier.

The proposed changes would also eliminate Power Four conference championship games. This would also move the start of the regular season up one week.
