RIP Mr Irsay, dude lived his life to the fullest.

Also, I hate to speak ill of the dead but anyone else think the Colts might improve now? He was a pretty meddlesome owner.

He's the likeliest billionaire I could imagine driving around with 2 Colt 45 tall boys listening to 38 Special before running over a mailbox at 2 in the afternoon.

My first thought. My guess is his lifestyle or habits caught up to him.

He tweeted good luck to the pacers 7 hours ago. Supposedly he died “in his sleep”.

He pulled an all-nighter, ate breakfast, tweeted, then went to bed.

Damn. He endured a lot. Divorce, booze, Carson Wentz.

He was a character but seemed like a good dude. RIP.

Between the blow and the alcohol, his body finally said No Mas!

RIP. He definitely did things his way.

I met him at a jaguars game 15ish years ago, and this sounds about right he needed a lighter and there i was smoking pregame in the club suite/boxes smoking section. I had no idea who tf he was until we headed in for kickoff and i asked which box they were heading to. Visiting owner suite was the one just before my buddy's dad's. When he opened their door i paused and asked who tf he was, he just laughed and said "jim irsay, colts owner." We met up at halftime and i left him the lighter post game. Only time I've ever willingly given to the wealthy, but the jags won and i was buzzed.

Of course he did, just saying that 7 hours from being alive making coherent tweets to the team releasing an official statement on your death is quick

Drugs, OD, being officially declared dead, notifying all family, drafting a statement, etc all take some time

He passed the same way my dad did. Laid down for an afternoon nap and his heart stopped.
