Imagine getting a leg up on a job because of the color of your skin in 2022.

What is this? The Supreme Court?

Mike Freeman is a race grifting hack. Any research and he’d understand Donald trump is not a racist. That’s a made up left wing narrative. also Elon musk is African American you moron. These people are tiresome.

Irsay does what he wants! Not like you're bringing in a coach to win games amd make the playoffs. He's a ring of honor guy and played basically his whole career there. He's well trusted and respected around the league and within the Colts.

Well writers need outrage, that's the world we live in, gets them clicks and posts on boards to drive them to failing online newspapers.

The move makes sense if you look at it the right way. Perhaps the colts dont want to put an experienced coach in and have them have some success then get pressured into hiring them full time.

Many Texans fans would be happy to give them Lovie.

He was hired as interim, not full time and they’re mad.

If they would’ve hired a black coach as interim and he didn’t get the full time job they’d be mad.

Yeah I mean he's being hired b/c this season is over. Hiring a black coach just to force him to fail wouldn't exactly be supporting black coaches.

The race hucksters know that they have a "heads I win tails you lose" scenario here, and just want those clicks.

It was a dipshit move. Race be damned. If I were a Colt fan I wouldn’t be happy. Unless this were truly some move to put butts in seats.

Quote Jimmy Doogan “I walk out there and wave my little hat.” If that’s all this was then fine. But if he gets another season? This could be equal to the Texans hiring Culley last year. But worse. At least Culley coached in the league. Saturday just called defenses for Mannings O-Line. And was the few guys to tell Manning to frick himself in a game.

Makes him cool and funny but not HC material.

I think they were going more for a coach the fan base would approve of to get through this season.

Then they will hire a real coach

Saturday has never blown a whistle - No high school, college or pro experience. lol:

I don't like how the injection of race into this topic is clouding how idiotic this move is by the colts

It's sad and ironic that Freeman of all people complains about racism. It's clear that he only has and keeps his job because he is black.

I read a fricking ESPN article on this and it was jumping all over itself to bring race into the equation and the next paragraph said the Rooney Rule doesn't apply to interim coaches

But we're gonna shite all over ourselves in the first 3 paragraphs of why said team should "hire" an interim black head coach

The fricking retard that wrote the ESPN article had some canned article written for January and forgot it was the first week in november

Could you imagine the uproar if a black coach was 40-33 for a mediocre franchise and was fired without cause?

Playing Devil's Advocate here: In Charlotte, everyone was up in arms about Steve Wilks being given a "no-win" situation by being named interim coach of the Panthers. Some say that he has no shot at the position since he was given a bad situation.

So, Saturday seems to be served the same shite sandwhich and people bitch about that. What do people actually want then? No matter how things are handled, some people will cry and scream racism.

I wonder how he get when Jason Kidd got a head coaching job right after his playing days were over?

Doc Rivers also comes to mind. I know there are others in the NBA, but I guess that’s different .

Same with Derek Fisher, yeah? They'll constantly bring up Steve Nash but that's 1 example to 3 we just listed.
