If you put Texas at 3 and Florida State at 4 then I feel you are undermining your Florida State argument for being in the playoff.

This was the same issue with USC back in the day.
What also happens is it is a circle.
The team gets unearned extra benefits because of perceived talent and then the talent goes to the school because of unearned extra benefits.
