Will pass LSU next week

That would give Ohio State a win at home over about the #15 team in next week's rankings.

LSU already has two of those wins.

So no. Ohio State isn't #1 next week.

ETA: That doesn't even include LSU's win over Alabama.

I’m still trying to figure out how the Ponies drop out after a win then show back up after a win?

Few teams if any have sat their heisman level QB for less than three quarters of play in a season

That's what Alabama did last season before getting arse blasted in the national championship game.

Honest question. If Bama played against the following teams next week, who would be favored and what would the line be?

Oregon
Utah
Oklahoma
Penn State
Minnesota
Florida

Yeah they will be. LSU will still have the better resume, but OSU WILL jump us.

It’s just crazy to me 10 weeks into the season the number 5 team has 1 loss and no ranked wins

UT has to win at Mizzou or they will go into the Iron Bowl with just two wins over teams with a winning record.

With tua, Alabama would smash all those teams besides maybe UF. They would keep it somewhat close

Without tua....they probably still beat them all

I find it great ESPN has everyone of their experts saying Bama is done(which they are), yet their shitty Allstate Playoff Predictor still has Bama with the 4th best odds to make the playoff

If games were played on paper, UW would be ranked in the top 15 in the Playoff Rankings.

Hard to say, I think the teams with the best defenses of those would likely beat us. Hard to say without really seeing Mac Jones I guess. He might be really fricking good, and if he is, then what? Crazy year for CFB and for Bama in general. Lost both of our playcallers (Tua and Moses) and still sitting at 5 somehow. I agree with our schedule it seems a bit high.

Clearly the committee doesn’t give weigh the numerical polls as much as Ohio state wishes they did

I think they’ve essentially said that they rank the best teams, not the most accomplished teams. The weird part is that I’ve heard them comparing teams accomplishments to justify their rankings.

I wouldn't mind at all if Alabama makes it now. Mac Jones isn't beating LSU.

Elliot who is the best RB in decades

Michael Thomas who is the best WR in the NFL in a long time

Nick Bosa who sacks QBs for fun

Lattimore who gives up nothing
