Either next week or the one after, they will put OSU #1 over LSU if they are still undefeated. They will say that it's because OSU now has ranked opponent wins as well and they "look" better. It's why Ohio State was #1 the first ranking despite the resumes being nowhere near comparable and everyone assuming LSU had to be #1. It's why LSU jumps them and the talking point is "they added a 4th top win so the resume is too strong now" as if that wasn't true the week before.
It's all a puppet show to pull our strings and cause drama/arguments/discussion over why they are wrong/right/bama loving frickheads.

I don’t have a problem with Bama being lower but why are Utah and Oregon ranked over Minnesota and especially OU? Neither have ranked wins and have a worse loss than even Alabama. Oregon also has a number of unimpressive wins over unranked teams.

What it really means is that Bama, Ole Miss and Texas offensive numbers are partially ranked that high BECAUSE they have played LSU and exceeded their averages while the teams that have played Ohio State have all been held well below their averages resulting in an even worse offensive ranking.

Not sure what irrelevant stat they're looking at, but where it counts we'll have played 7 top 50 (their arbitrary cutoff, not mine) offenses before the playoff.
