I obviously want the Heat to win. Still think they will win the series in 5 or 6.

But damn is the Bulls HC a great coach or what?

What he gets out of that roster is incredible.

While Spo has improved to a good coach....I still worry about him from time to time. No need for Allen on the floor.

Its amazing to me how hard his team plays for him.

It makes me think guys like Coach Izzo could make it in the NBA. Just old school rugged mentality.

Ugh. This is why I wanted the Nets to make it through. The Bulls are fricking annoying.

Heat in 5 or 6. But an ugly hard fought series because of the coach.

A few years ago I said Hornets should sign him as a coach... Instead they went with Floyd or was it Scott?

Hornets were eyeing him and Monty. Bulls signed Thibs and then the Hornets took Monty.

I have no idea who was the "frontrunner" but we went with Monty after the bulls signed thibs.

Ah this was before then, I believe he was with Rockets at time and I had read an ESPN Insider thing on "next" coaching candidates and he was listed on it.

Thibs is definitely one of the top coaches in the league. I do wonder sometimes if his style is self defeating in the long run. His players go through such a grind during the regular season that they never seem to have a healthy roster come playoff time. I realize that it might just be coincidence and not necessarily a result of Thibs style, but it does seem that they are worn down more than most teams at the end of the season.

Good berakdown of Coach Thib's defensive philosophies

Basically as long as you have 5 NBA-Caliber players running his defensive system you will keep games close/ win games you're not supposed to.
